Availability

Probably the most important question to start with, if you’ve already decided on your wedding date & venue please get in touch and we can see if the date is available. Feel free to call, 07773372282, text, or WhatsApp me to get started.

Yes, I do have a standard DBS check (always repeated every 12 months) which you can view on request.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of wedding venues in and around my area, I have worked at several, some multiple times, however, I have not shot at all.

We absolutely can visit the venue beforehand, once your date has been reserved.

All areas within 50 miles of Luton are covered, if you’re wedding day is a little bit further away I may have to pass on some of the travel costs, I’m sure we can come to a suitable agreement, please get in touch to discuss, 07773372282, or WhatsApp me to get started.

Booking

I am fully insured. I have £5 million Public Liability insurance and £2 million Professional Indemnity insurance.

Yes, with some constraints.

If you want to upgrade your wedding then this should be easily accomodated, The more notice you give the better. If there is any issue with the availability of a 2nd shooter I will let you know and we can discuss our options.

If you want to downgrade your wedding package then this should also be possible, however, if any commitments have been made (i.e. for a 2nd shooter, or for any travel/accommodation) which are impacted by any change to your package then there will likely be fee payable which you would have to cover.

Please get in touch with any questions you might have to your wedding package and we’ll be able to work together to ensure that you get the right package for you.

No additional charge for travel, if the location is up to 50 miles from my home in Luton. If the location is more remote, there will be a small fee for the additional travel and possibly accommodation.

A £200 reservation fee is required to secure your date, please note your date is NOT secured without the reservation fee being paid.

The balance of the payment is due at least 1 calendar month before the date of your wedding.

You can choose to pay via bank transfer ( preferred ), or Paypal, Monzo, Credit Card, Debit Card

We can arrange a payment plan if you wish to split your payment over a few months.

Invoices will be provided for all payments for your records.

Delivery

Yes, all of the digital images you receive are sized to allow printing upto about 10 inches on the longest side.

You will also receive a license to print the images in case you get asked about it when sourcing your own prints.

I do also offer print/framing or album/photobook services, albums are included in some packages, please get in touch to discuss any specific needs that you have.

I provide a mix of colour and black & white images in your gallery, I review each photo during the editing process to see which version looks best, if you want to see a colour image in black & white, or vice versa, let me know and it will be arranged for you.

No, neither the images you receive as part of the digital pack or any album or prints will be watermarked

For digital images you will receive an online gallery which you can use to share as far and wide as you want, it will be password protected for your privacy, but you can share the password with anyone you want. Your gallery will remain active for either 6 or 12 months from the date of your wedding, depending on your chosen package. You can extend this for a small additional fee if needed.

You will also receive either a USB Thumb drive or digital link to the images depending on your selected package.

Technical specifications: digital images are delivered in JPEG format, 3000px on the longest edge, sRGB colour space

Initially within 24-28 hours I will provide you with an online gallery with some highlights from the day, around 20-24 images that you can start to share.

The balance of your images will be delivered around 3 weeks from your wedding day.

Albums can take a bit longer as these need to be designed, checked and approved before going to print.

On The Day

Absolutely, I have a least three cameras with me, several lenses and backup lenses, several flashes and more batteries and memory cards than will ever be needed.

All of my cameras save the images on two memory cards simultaneously during the day.

My first job when I arrive home, before even getting changed, is to backup the images to two different external hard drives and then a further copy is securely backed up to my cloud backup service overnight.

I take the storage and security of your images very seriously.

It is always great if a meal is offered, but if not I can easily bring food to keep me going.

I normally work solo, if however, you would like a second photographer to be there during the day this can be arranged, it will be an additional item to most of the packages

We absolutely can visit the venue beforehand, once your date has been reserved.

All day coverage starts 2 hours before the ceremony, and ends 1 hour after the first dance. If you want me to stay later, or arrive earlier this can be arranged but will likely result in an additional cost.

I normally wear a short or long sleeved shirt (with the sleeves rolled up), with chino trousers (normally dark brown or black) and dark shoes – being on my feet all day means that I have to strike a balance between looking smart and being comfortable. If you have a particular theme or colour scheme for your day please let me know and I’ll do everything possible to accommodate it

This is up to you, for me when I got married I wanted to see people’s faces during the ceremony, especially when my wife walked down the aisle, I would therefore advise that you ask people not to take photos during the early parts of the ceremony.

During any formal group photos it’s essential to have people looking at the official camera rather than at everyone who has their phone out, so for the formal shots we would ask that no one else takes pictures.

Otherwise the more photos people take, the better!

Photographic Style

I am very flexible and my main aim is to have a satisfied couple, so yes, you can request any shots you desire.

When it comes to the formal group shots I recommend that we agree these beforehand so that you can be sure that we don’t miss an essential combination.

If there’s one thing that absolutely cannot be guaranteed it’s the weather.

Having a super bright sunny day is normally very popular, but it doesn’t always result in the best photos, a grey cloudy day will actually be the best for photos. We always look around for suitable locations for photos, and there will always be an opportunity for photos indoors.

If we have the opportunity to visit the venue before the big day we can scout out some options for photos that allow for changing conditions.

Having a couple of umbrellas can actually make for really fun props and if it’s going to rain it’s better to stick your wellies on, grab a brolly and go dance in the rain.

It’s not the easiest question to answer, it adapts to the venue. If a venue is really light and airy we’re not going to try to make everything all dark and moody. And if the venue is full of rich dark colours we’re not looking to light it up like a Christmas tree.

For wedding days I like to mix both candid/documentary styles with some traditional styles.

For the ceremony and the formal group shots I typically follow an approach that ensures we capture all of your important memories and the treasured pictures of family & friends that will last a lifetime.

Outside of these “more formal” parts of the day I offer a more candid set of images where we document the day without imposing on you or your guests so that you get to enjoy the full wedding day without it being a 10 hour photoshoot.
